Making your decision

Should you decide to accept your place at CIT, you must confirm this in the form requested within the period stated in the notification of admission. An advance payment of the tuition fees amounting to €1,000 must also be transferred to CIT.


Preparing/ submitting documentation

If you are required to apply for a student visa, you should do so before 15/07/2015 at the latest. It normally takes six to eight weeks to process a visa, although it can take significantly longer. Click here for further information on visas.

As a student in Germany, you are required to have health insurance. You may be insured in your home country or in Germany. Click here for further information on health insurance.


Travel & arrival

You should plan your arrival, and accommodation in particular, early in advance as it can sometimes be difficult to find a flat in Cologne. Our international office (Auslandsamt) would be pleased to help you with your search and is available to answer any other questions you may have.


Orientation week

Orientation week takes place 21st-25th September. Participation is not obligatory, but highly recommended as you will be introduced to the city and the university, among other activities. It is also a fantastic opportunity to get to know your fellow students.
