Electrical Engineering has a long tradition in Germany. The Electrical Engineering course at CIT covers all the fundamental basics of mathematics, electrical engineering, physics and computer science required for the engineering profession. Students are also provided with commercial and legal knowledge which, in combination with soft skills development, enables them to take on managerial roles in companies and projects, or give them the basis for a successful start in their own entrepreneurial venture.

Career progression

Electrical engineers are employed by a multitude of companies. They develop devices in the investment and consumer goods industries, from microchips to mobile phones, and from cars to the electric motors used in machine tools or locomotives. Electrical engineers are also indispensable in the production of these products. Electrical engineers are also employed for the sales and marketing of highly technical products, and as technical specialist or patent lawyers. Demand will continue to grow in the coming years in areas such electric vehicles and smart grids.
